This is why I like a bit of lightheartedness and fun within the private family walls. One simplest way to achieve an off beat style at home is through the surprising use of familiar elements in clever and unconventional ways. For example, I often recommend that people try putting flooring materials somewhere other than on the floor. Doesn't the above room feel slightly surreal yet warm and comfortable?
